about me

Hello and welcome to my website. My name is Jennifer and I’m a coach, trainer, former humanitarian worker and expatriate.

As a coach, I draw on over 20 years of professional experience and a lifetime in cross-cultural environments to support individuals from all around the world.

I have coached clients in Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Latin America, North America and Europe, including various locations around the UK. I offer sessions in English and Spanish, and work with other languages through interpretation.

My interest in different cultures goes back to my childhood as I was raised in an American/British family living in Mexico and Spain, speaking both English and Spanish. I left my home in Spain to gain a university degree in the USA, and then spent the first 10 years of my career working in grassroots community development in four countries (Kenya, Ethiopia, USA and UK). During this time, I initiated and led social outreach programmes to support people living with HIV, homeless people, immigrants, and at-risk youth.

In the second decade of my career, I worked for Tearfund, a large UK-based international relief and development organization, where I had the privilege of supporting local leaders across nine countries in Latin America and the Caribbean. This included coaching and mentoring as well as facilitating regular training events.

These diverse experiences have given me first-hand insight into both field and organisational life in a variety of countries and cultures – all of which I bring to the coaching and training space.

I hold a Masters degree in Development Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) in London and a BA in Foreign Affairs and Religious Studies from the University of Virginia (USA). I first trained as a coach in 2015 through Creative Results Management and have continued ongoing training with various providers ever since.
